Hill’s journey into the construction field began after working in the banking industry in Dallas, Texas, from 1985 to 1992. In 1992, he acquired ESI, a dormant company, and set out to revive it. With just four employees, Hill began rebuilding and expanding the company. Over the next several decades, he successfully grew the business into a thriving enterprise, now employing over 1,100 people. His commitment to his team is evident in ESI's policy of fully employer-paid medical and dental insurance, which provides for the health and well-being of his workforce.

Under Hill’s leadership, ESI Construction has become a trusted partner for many clients. It is known for its high-quality work, safety protocols, and exceptional service. Hill and his wife, Kimbra, supported local organizations such as the Caldwell Police Department’s mounted unit and the Caldwell Fair 4-H Sale.

Thomas D. Hill was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and graduated with honors from Baylor University in 1985, earning a BBA in Finance. After completing his education, Hill moved to Idaho, eventually leading ESI Construction to success. He and his wife, Kimbra, now reside in Eagle, Idaho, with their two children, Piper and Teddy. In addition to his professional endeavors, Hill enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, traveling, flying, and hiking.
